HEARING THE VOICE OF GOD By Major. Frank Materu

"If you fully obey the Lord your God and carefully follow all His commands I give you today, the Lord your God will set you high above all the nations on earth." (Deuteronomy 28:1)

Seek God's Voice in the Stillness:

There are many voices clamoring for attention, but true peace is found in seeking the voice of the Lord your God.

Listen to the still, small voice of His Spirit.

The loud voices of pride and distraction may press upon you, but reject them quickly and seek God instead.

Come to Him with humility and listen to His Spirit, for He will guide and direct you.

"Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth." (Psalm 46:10)

Train Your Spirit to Discern:

Allow your understanding to be exercised to discern between good and evil so that you may know God and recognize His voice.

Resist relying on your own intellect, for it is limited and darkened.

Instead, follow the leading of the Holy Spirit, who brings clarity and light.

When God equips you for His service, focus on advancing His kingdom rather than building personal or religious empires.

Work diligently and faithfully in the tasks He has set before you.

Unless the Lord builds the house, the builders labor in vain. Unless the Lord watches over the city, the guards stand watch in vain." (Psalm 127:1)

Do Not Lead, But Be Led by the Spirit:

Let the Spirit of God lead you; do not attempt to lead Him.

Remember that the battle is ongoing and that the enemy never rests, seeking only to steal, kill, and destroy.

"The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full." (John 10:10)

Seek the Lord continually and let Him establish your steps.

Do not grow weary or stray from His path, but remain steadfast even through the trials.

Obey the Great Commission:

"Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." (Matthew 28:19-20)

Many claim salvation but fail to diligently continue in the work God has given them.

They pursue their own ambitions and forget the call to expand God's kingdom.

Be among the few who persevere and obey the Lord to the end.

Store Up Eternal Treasures:

The blessings God promises are not material treasures that fade, rust, or are stolen.

His blessings are eternal—spiritual riches of wisdom, knowledge, and understanding.

"Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal.

But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven." (Matthew 6:19-20)

Seek these treasures, for it pleases God to give wisdom, light, and strength to His people.

These are the riches that cannot be purchased with earthly wealth.

Faith Tested in the Fire:

When you face trials, remember that God uses them to refine and confirm your faith.

In the midst of the furnace, choose God, cry out to Him, and trust in His deliverance.

"Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego replied to him, 'King Nebuchadnezzar, we do not need to defend ourselves before you in this matter. If we are thrown into the blazing furnace, the God we serve is able to deliver us from it, and He will deliver us from Your Majesty’s hand.

But even if He does not, we want you to know, Your Majesty, that we will not serve your gods or worship the image of gold you have set up.'” (Daniel 3:16-18)

God desires people who are steadfast, who have been tested and proven true.

Those who endure the fire of trials with faith bring great joy to the Lord.

God’s Grace is Sufficient:

Whatever trial you face, know that God will not allow you to be tested beyond what you can bear.

He will always provide a way out so that you can endure.

"No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; He will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, He will also provide a way out so that you can endure it." (1 Corinthians 10:13)

Choose God in every trial, and He will delight in you.

Continue to seek Him and trust Him, for He is faithful to guide, strengthen, and sustain you.

Stay faithful and pursue the eternal riches found in Him. As you do so, you will be a vessel of honor, bringing glory to His name and advancing His kingdom on earth.
