Acting in Haste and Relying on Your Strength Leads to Sin By Major. Frank Materu

"Wait for the LORD; be strong and take heart and wait for the LORD." Psalm 27:14

Rushing ahead without waiting on God can lead to destruction and dishonor before Him.

Haste breeds carelessness, causing one to overlook what truly matters.

When you act impulsively, you lack patience and fail to seek God's guidance, proceeding recklessly without consulting Him.

Instead, practice patience.

Wait on the Lord, seek His timing, His counsel, and His face.

Many have rushed ahead only to disregard the most critical things.

Continue to seek the Living God and cultivate enough endurance to wait on Him.

Ultimately, it is not your work but His work.

Ensure that your actions please the Living God.

Do not be like fools who labor in vain, working only to impress others or to boast of their accomplishments.

Such efforts are meaningless.

God has called you to be His worker.

Therefore, resist the temptation to act hastily.

Learn the virtue of patience.

Acting in haste and relying on your strength leads to sin, for you fail to pause and listen to God, choosing instead to forge ahead on your own.

Surrendering to God.

"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest."

Matthew 11:28

Often, we carry burdens that God never intended for us to bear.

When you surrender to Him, you will find that His yoke is easy and His burden is light.

In your humanity, you may have taken on responsibilities that God did not authorize.

Examine your heart even now and release those burdens to God.

When you let go and surrender to God, you will experience the joy of His presence and the peace that comes from resting in Him.

God Didn’t Promise a Trouble-Free Life.

"In this world, you will have trouble.

But take heart! I have overcome the world." John 16:33

The Living God did not promise that your life would be perfect or free from challenges.

However, He did promise to protect you with His mercy, beauty, and life-giving presence.

There will be times when God reveals to you that He alone can help.

He intends to be your refuge, strength, and glory.

He does not want you to depend on human strength but to rely entirely on Him.

Seek Him daily, allowing His Spirit to guide you. If you ask, His Spirit will lead you and show you His plans for your life.

Do not rush into things blindly; instead, allow His Spirit to direct your steps.

Captivity of Others for Personal Gain.

"Woe to those who make unjust laws, to those who issue oppressive decrees." Isaiah 10:1

When people take others captive to build their kingdoms, will God not hold them accountable?

God will bring down their kingdoms, just as He has done before.

God's Strategy.

"The joy of the LORD is your strength." Nehemiah 8:10

Engage in God’s work with joy in your heart, singing His praises throughout the day.

Let Him reign in your life, and the enemy will recognize his defeat.

You will experience victory in your heart.

Even discouragement will turn into rejoicing when you keep your focus on the Lord.

The Living God has the power to turn everything around, even that which the enemy intended for harm.

Stumbling blocks will become stepping stones, propelling you upward.

God’s Command.

"Fix your thoughts on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith."_

Hebrews 12:2

This is God's command:

Continue to focus on Him, not on the problem. When you speak of God, His power, mercy, and angels surround you.

But when you dwell on the problem, you invite darkness and despair.

Today, speak about the Lord, for He is the source of your life.

In every situation, take the words He has given you and proclaim them aloud.

Let your hope and expectations be centered on what God will do for you, not on what the wicked have planned against you.

Holding On to God's Promises.

"Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful."Hebrews 10:23

When God gives you a promise, cling to it and declare it boldly in the face of the enemy.

Speak it before darkness and every evil force, and hold on to it with unwavering faith.

God’s promise will surely come to pass.

Conclusion: Trust and Patience in God.

"Those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength." Isaiah 40:31

Do not act out of impatience or in your own strength.

Instead, trust in God's perfect plan, surrender your burdens to Him, and rejoice in His faithfulness.

As you wait on Him, you will witness His promises fulfilled in your life.

In everything, rely on His Spirit, trust His timing, and proclaim His goodness.

God's promises are sure, and His plans are perfect.

Be patient, stand firm, and trust in the One who never fails.
