Introduction

In every generation, God remains sovereign, just, and merciful. Even in times of divine judgment and wrath, He raises a remnant—a group of faithful individuals who stand for His righteousness, declare His truth, and uphold His Word. This message addresses the current state of a perverse generation and God’s intention to restore His truth through a remnant who will fearlessly proclaim His Word.

The Wrath of God Upon a Wicked Generation

Throughout history, nations and people who abandon God’s ways inevitably face His wrath. "For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness." (Romans 1:18, NKJV). The present age is no exception. Humanity has rejected the ways of God, embracing pride, rebellion, and sin. Yet, amid His righteous indignation, God preserves a remnant who will shine as lights in the darkness.

The Power of God’s Word

God’s Word is unparalleled in its power and authority. "For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit." (Hebrews 4:12, NKJV). The remnant raised by God will rely on His Word to confront sin, expose falsehood, and declare His righteousness. It is through His Word that creation came into being and through His Word that the powers of darkness are defeated.

The Failure of Carnal Leadership

In many religious circles, leaders have forsaken the preaching of God’s Word, opting instead for self-promotion and worldly gain. "For the leaders of this people cause them to err, and those who are led by them are destroyed." (Isaiah 9:16, NKJV). Such leaders have built kingdoms of carnality rather than advancing God’s Kingdom. However, God is raising up individuals who will not compromise His truth but will stand boldly for righteousness.

Characteristics of God’s Remnant

The remnant is marked by their unwavering commitment to God and His Word. "And I will give you shepherds according to My heart, who will feed you with knowledge and understanding." (Jeremiah 3:15, NKJV). They are disciplined by the Spirit, bold in declaring the truth, and unashamed of their allegiance to God. This remnant will oppose the forces of darkness and bring the light of God’s truth to a lost and dying generation.

The Impact of the Remnant’s Ministry

As God’s remnant declares His Word, lives will be transformed, sinners will repent, and even the proud will tremble. "So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; it shall not return to Me void, but it shall accomplish what I please, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it." (Isaiah 55:11, NKJV). The remnant’s ministry will expose sin, bring conviction, and demonstrate the power of God to save and restore.

Summary

God’s wrath upon a sinful generation is a display of His justice, but it is tempered by His mercy through the raising of a remnant. These faithful individuals, empowered by His Word, will stand boldly against sin and declare His truth. Their ministry will bring revival, restoration, and the fear of God back to a wayward world.

Final Word of Encouragement

Be encouraged, for God is with His remnant. "Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand." (Isaiah 41:10, NKJV). Stand firm in your faith and trust that His Word will accomplish His purposes through you. Together, let us shine His light in this generation.
