Introduction

In these perilous times, the world is engulfed in spiritual warfare. The wicked rise against the righteous, seeking to silence the truth and destroy those who uphold the ways of God. However, the Almighty has set a divine hedge of protection around His people—a Fire Wall that shields them from the assaults of the enemy. This lesson explores the significance of God’s protection, the consequences of rejecting His covering, and the call to abide in His truth.

The battle between righteousness and wickedness is ancient, yet more evident in our generation. The enemy works tirelessly to pull God's people into the flames of destruction, but those who remain faithful will be preserved by God’s divine fire. Understanding and embracing this divine Fire Wall is crucial for every believer who seeks to walk in obedience and victory.

The Hatred of the Wicked Against the Righteous

John 15:18-19 - "If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you. If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you."

The wicked despise the truth and those who bear it. Their hatred stems from their rebellion against God, and they imagine that by destroying His people, they can silence His voice. However, they are gravely mistaken, for truth is eternal and cannot be extinguished by human schemes. Those who stand firm in righteousness will always be preserved by the Lord.

The Deception and Pride of the Wicked

Proverbs 16:18 - "Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall."

When people become intoxicated with pride, they overestimate their strength. The wicked convince themselves that they can prevail against God’s people. However, their pride blinds them to their downfall. In rejecting the Holy Spirit, they embrace deception, which leads them further into wickedness and destruction.

God’s Fire Wall of Protection

Isaiah 4:5-6 - "And the Lord will create upon every dwelling place of mount Zion, and upon her assemblies, a cloud and smoke by day, and the shining of a flaming fire by night: for upon all the glory shall be a defence. And there shall be a tabernacle for a shadow in the daytime from the heat, and for a place of refuge, and for a covert from storm and from rain."

God has established a Fire Wall around His faithful servants. This divine barrier serves as a defense against the plots of the enemy and ensures the safety of those who walk in obedience. Just as the Israelites were protected by the pillar of fire in the wilderness, so too does God safeguard His people today.

The Dangers of Spiritual Adultery

James 4:4 - "Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God."

Many fall into the trap of compromise, choosing the fleeting pleasures of the world over divine truth. Spiritual adultery leads to destruction. Those who forsake the Fire Wall of God to indulge in worldly lusts find themselves consumed by the very flames they sought to embrace.

The Security of Those Who Remain in God’s Fire Wall

Psalm 91:9-11 - "Because thou hast made the Lord, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation; There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling. For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways."

Those who remain steadfast in the Lord are protected. Though the enemy rages, God’s fire shields His people. Walking in obedience ensures divine covering, making the believer untouchable to the forces of darkness.

Summary

God has surrounded His people with a divine Fire Wall, shielding them from the attacks of the enemy. However, those who reject this protection expose themselves to destruction. The righteous must remain steadfast, knowing that God’s fire is both a shield for His people and a consuming force against His enemies.

Conclusion

The Lord desires that His people walk in His divine protection, choosing His ways over the enticements of the world. Just as He safeguarded Israel in the wilderness, He continues to be a shield to those who trust in Him. The wicked may rise against the righteous, but their efforts will be in vain, for God’s truth cannot be destroyed.

Prayer of Salvation

Heavenly Father,

I come before You in humility, acknowledging that I am a sinner in need of Your grace. I repent of my sins and turn away from the ways of the world. I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, that He died for my sins, and that He rose again on the third day. I ask You, Lord Jesus, to come into my heart, be my Savior, and cleanse me with Your precious blood. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit, and lead me in the path of righteousness. I surrender my life to You and choose to walk in obedience under Your divine Fire Wall of protection. Thank You, Lord, for saving me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
