A Call for True Service and Genuine Repentance By: Major. Frank Materu
Key Verse:
“Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.” Matthew 7:21
The Deception of Self-Serving Faith
There are many who claim to work in God's name, yet their actions reveal a different agenda.
Instead of relying on God for provision, they lean on others, demanding and commanding support as if entitled.
Such individuals are not working for God but rather for their own ambitions, using His name in vain.
These false servants will be held accountable for their deceit and will face His judgment for their fraudulent claims of faith.
“Woe to the shepherds who destroy and scatter the sheep of my pasture!” declares the Lord. Jeremiah 23:1
Their trust is not in God but in their ability to manipulate others. When their earthly resources fail, they will cry out in despair, for they have no foundation of faith to rely upon.
True Servants Stand Unashamed in Faith
God is raising up a remnant—a people who are unwavering in their faith, even in a perverse and corrupt generation.
True servants are those who stand boldly in the Word of God, declaring it without fear or compromise.
If anyone refuses to pay the price of unwavering allegiance, they are not worthy of Him.
“Whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me will find it.” Matthew 16:25
The time has come for those who truly serve God to go forth unashamed, proclaiming their allegiance to Him and declaring
His truth with boldness.
These are His people, sent to declare His Word as it is.
The Call to Repentance: Turning Back to God
When people focus on anything other than God and the eternal state of their souls, they lose sight of the call to repentance.
In our current age, there is a severe lack of genuine repentance.
If people would sincerely turn back to God, change their ways, and repent, the world would be transformed.
“Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord.”
Acts 3:19
God has sent prophets to call people to repentance, but many have ignored their warnings.
Yet, in His mercy, God offers one last chance for repentance.
He calls upon each of us to repent for our own sins, for the sins of our nation, and for those who have strayed away.
Repentance is the ultimate desire that God has for humanity.
Conclusion: Returning to Genuine Faith
This is a pivotal time for believers to examine their faith. Those who serve God must do so out of love and commitment to
His will, not for personal gain.
The call to repentance is urgent and universal, extending to each of us individually and collectively as a people.
May we turn away from self-serving ambitions, refocus on God, and embrace a life of genuine repentance and true service.
In doing so, we align ourselves with God’s ultimate plan and help usher in His kingdom on earth.
