Introduction
In a time when wickedness, filth, and rebellion dominate the earth, knowing and serving the Living God is a privilege that must not be taken for granted. The world is consumed by delusion, confusion, and sin, yet God, in His infinite mercy, has set apart a people who can look to Him, trust Him, and follow Him. This is a call to reflect on the privilege of knowing God and to live in gratitude, obedience, and faithfulness amid a wicked and perverse generation.

The Privilege of Knowing God
It is a divine privilege to know, serve, and follow the Living God in a world plagued by filthiness and vileness. God alone is our keeper and guide. "It is of the Lord's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not." (Lamentations 3:22) His mercy is the sustaining force that enables His people to rise above the wickedness of this age.

The Condition of the World
Today’s generation is marked by disobedience, rebellion, and spiritual adultery. Many who claim to be God’s people have strayed, embracing the world’s filth while retaining His name in hypocrisy. "Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away." (2 Timothy 3:5)
Such individuals love the world more than God and walk in estrangement from His divine arrangement. Yet, the Living God calls for repentance, offering guidance and direction to those who humble themselves and return to Him.

God’s Justice and Wrath
God’s wrath is revealed against the wickedness of this generation. His righteous indignation serves as a reminder that He is Almighty and will not tolerate sin. "For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness." (Romans 1:18)
The punishment of the proud and rebellious is not an occasion for mourning but for thanksgiving. It is an opportunity to recognize God’s sovereignty and His call to repentance. God’s chastisement aims to awaken humanity to the error of its ways and restore the fear of the Lord.

Walking in Humility and Gratitude
Humility is the key to receiving God’s grace and mercy. "Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time." (1 Peter 5:6) The proud will face His judgment, but the humble will find refuge in His presence.
Living in gratitude for the privilege of knowing God means walking in obedience, serving Him faithfully, and seeking His righteousness daily. This gratitude shields us from the destruction that comes upon those who reject His ways.

The Call to Repentance and Obedience
God’s retributive justice is His wake-up call to a sinful world. It is a sobering reminder that the Almighty reigns supreme and that His ways are just. "Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people." (Proverbs 14:34) Now is the time for all to repent, humble themselves, and return to the path of truth and light.
God’s mercy is extended to those who seek Him wholeheartedly. It is not too late to abandon pride, sin, and rebellion and embrace His ways. Let the sobering judgment of God lead to transformation and renewed commitment to Him.
