WILL YOU BE HELPLESS OR HEALED? By: Major Frank Materu

INTRODUCTION
In every generation, there comes a time of great distress where people find themselves trapped in hopelessness, helplessness, and despair. Many look to the world for solutions, but they remain bound in chains of affliction. Today, the question that God presents to humanity is clear: Will you be helpless or healed?
The answer to this question depends on whether we choose to trust in the power of God or remain in the captivity of sin and deception. The world is full of distractions and false hopes, but true healing and restoration can only be found in Jesus Christ. God is reaching out to those who will hear His call, and those who believe will be healed.

THE CONDITION OF HELPLESSNESS
Psalm 34:17
"The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears them; he delivers them from all their troubles."
Helplessness is a state of spiritual, emotional, and sometimes physical distress that renders people powerless. Many are held captive by circumstances, addictions, and the deception of the enemy. The devil and his demons seek to keep people in a perpetual state of helplessness by feeding them lies that there is no hope. This condition is fueled by:
• Sin and disobedience – When people walk away from God’s commandments, they open themselves to destruction.
• Fear and doubt – Many are bound by fear, preventing them from stepping into the fullness of God’s promises.
• Spiritual blindness – The enemy blinds people from seeing the truth of salvation in Jesus Christ.
Many individuals remain trapped in these strongholds, believing that their condition is irreversible. However, God’s word declares that "with God all things are possible" (Matthew 19:26).

THE PROMISE OF HEALING AND RESTORATION
Jeremiah 30:17
"But I will restore you to health and heal your wounds, declares the Lord."
God is a healer and a restorer. He does not take pleasure in seeing His people suffer under the weight of oppression. Throughout the Bible, we see God’s desire to heal and restore those who turn to Him.
Jesus Christ came to set the captives free. His ministry was filled with miracles, demonstrating the power of God to heal not only physical ailments but also spiritual afflictions. Those who believe in Him are granted access to divine healing, deliverance, and restoration.

THE IMPORTANCE OF FAITH AND OBEDIENCE
Hebrews 11:6
"And without faith, it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him."
Faith is the key that unlocks the power of healing in a believer’s life. Without faith, people remain stuck in their helpless conditions. Obedience to God’s word ensures that we walk in His will and experience the fullness of His blessings.
Many fail to receive their healing because they refuse to believe in God’s ability to restore them. Others remain bound because they are unwilling to surrender completely to God’s plan. However, those who trust in the Lord and obey His commands will walk in divine health and prosperity.

THE RESPONSIBILITY OF BELIEVERS TO SHARE THE GOSPEL
Mark 16:15
"He said to them, 'Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.'"
As followers of Christ, we have a responsibility to share the message of healing and hope with those who are lost. Many people are perishing in darkness because they have not yet heard the gospel of salvation.
This is the time to rise up and proclaim the good news to those who are drowning in despair. We must be bold in sharing our testimonies and in demonstrating the love and power of God. When we shine the light of Christ, many will be drawn to Him and experience the healing and restoration that He offers.

SUMMARY
The choice is clear: Will you remain helpless, or will you embrace the healing that God offers? Many are lost, hopeless, and bound by the lies of the enemy, but Jesus Christ is the way to salvation and restoration. Faith, obedience, and a willingness to trust in God will lead to a life of victory.

God is calling His people to step out of helplessness and into healing. The world may offer temporary solutions, but true restoration comes only through Jesus Christ. Now is the time to embrace His love, power, and salvation.

FINAL WORD OF ENCOURAGEMENT
Isaiah 41:10
"So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand."
No matter what situation you are facing, God is able to lift you up and set you free. Choose to trust in Him today and receive the fullness of His blessings.
