Witches, Warlocks, and Wizards Won’t Win! By: Major Frank Materu
Key Scripture: Isaiah 8:19-20
"When someone tells you to consult mediums and spiritists, who whisper and mutter, should not a people inquire of their God? Why consult the dead on behalf of the living? Consult God’s instruction and the testimony of warning. If anyone does not speak according to this word, they have no light of dawn."

Introduction
The world today is witnessing an increase in the boldness of dark spiritual forces. Witches, warlocks, and wizards openly practice their craft, deceiving many into believing that they have lasting power. However, the truth remains that their end is certain, and their works will not prevail against God’s sovereign authority. The Bible is clear that all who engage in sorcery and witchcraft are an abomination before the Lord and will face divine judgment.
This teaching seeks to expose the deception behind witchcraft, highlight God’s power over these forces, and remind believers that through Jesus Christ, they have victory over all the works of darkness. We must remain steadfast in the truth and reject the lies that seek to lure people into destruction.

The Deception of Witchcraft
Supporting Scripture: Galatians 5:19-21
"The acts of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God."
Witchcraft is deceptive because it presents itself as a source of wisdom, power, and control. Many who practice it believe they can manipulate spiritual forces for their benefit. However, the Bible clearly states that all forms of sorcery come from demonic influence and are condemned by God. Those who turn to witchcraft instead of seeking the Lord are stepping into darkness and placing themselves under the control of demonic spirits.

The Judgment of Those Who Practice Witchcraft
Supporting Scripture: Revelation 21:8
"But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars—they will be consigned to the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death."
God does not take witchcraft lightly. Throughout scripture, we see that those who engage in sorcery face severe consequences. The Bible warns that those who persist in these practices will ultimately be cast into eternal judgment. Their spells and incantations cannot save them from the wrath of God. No magic or dark art can alter the truth that God reigns supreme and will hold them accountable for their deeds.

Victory Through Jesus Christ
Supporting Scripture: Colossians 2:15
"And having disarmed the powers and authorities, he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross."
Jesus Christ has already won the victory over all the forces of darkness. When He died on the cross and rose again, He disarmed all principalities and powers. Witches, warlocks, and wizards may think they have control, but they are already defeated. Those who put their trust in Jesus have authority over all the works of the enemy and do not need to fear any dark forces.

The Call to Stand Firm in Faith
Supporting Scripture: Ephesians 6:12-13
"For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand."
Believers must not be ignorant of the enemy’s schemes. We are called to stand firm in faith, putting on the full armor of God to resist every attack of the enemy. Our battle is spiritual, and we must be prepared by walking in righteousness, prayer, and obedience to God’s Word. Those who remain faithful to Jesus will emerge victorious.
