THE RIGHTEOUS JUDGMENT By: Major Frank Materu

Key Scripture:

"Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap." – Galatians 6:7 (NKJV)

Introduction

God is a righteous Judge who is not mocked. Throughout history, He has demonstrated His justice by rewarding righteousness and punishing wickedness. Those who harden their hearts against Him and refuse correction eventually face destruction, while those who humble themselves and seek His mercy receive life.

The world is filled with deception, where many believe they can live without acknowledging God. However, their rebellion leads to ruin, and their perceived success is short-lived. The way of sin may seem right in human eyes, but it ultimately ends in death. On the other hand, those who walk in obedience to God experience His miraculous power. He opens doors where there are none, provides favor in unexpected places, and preserves His people from the schemes of their enemies.

This teaching explores both the judgment of God upon the rebellious and His power to deliver those who trust in Him. As we reflect on these truths, let us choose the path of righteousness and live in faith, knowing that God is both just and merciful.

THE RIGHTEOUS JUDGMENT OF GOD

"For the Lord is a God of justice; blessed are all those who wait for Him." – Isaiah 30:18 (NKJV)

God is not indifferent to the deeds of men. Those who mock Him, ignore His warnings, and persist in their rebellion will face His righteous judgment. The Bible warns that many perish before their time because of their stubbornness. Those who refuse reproof and continue in wickedness bring destruction upon themselves.

The world celebrates individuals who gain fame and power, yet many of them meet untimely deaths and face eternal separation from God. Their pride and self-reliance lead them to destruction, and their so-called achievements amount to nothing in eternity.

God’s judgments are just. He does not take pleasure in the death of the wicked, but He also does not tolerate mockery. When sinners refuse His mercy, they seal their own fate. It is a tragic reality that many people prefer to follow the path of self-indulgence rather than submit to God's authority.

TRUE REPENTANCE AND RESTORATION

"Repent, and turn from all your transgressions, so that iniquity will not be your ruin." – Ezekiel 18:30 (NKJV)

Despite the certainty of God's judgment, He extends His mercy to those who repent. True repentance is not merely saying sorry; it involves a complete transformation of heart and actions. Those who genuinely turn to God forsake their sins and begin a new life of obedience to Him.

Some claim to repent but continue in their sinful ways, deceiving themselves. The love of self and the pursuit of worldly pleasures keep them bound in rebellion. However, those who humble themselves, recognize their need for God, and surrender to His will find restoration and acceptance.

God does not have grandchildren—each individual must have a personal relationship with Him. No one can inherit salvation through their parents or traditions. Every person is accountable for their own choices and must choose whether to serve God or reject Him.

THE MIRACLE-WORKING POWER OF GOD

"Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh. Is there anything too hard for Me?" – Jeremiah 32:27 (NKJV)

God is a God of miracles. He specializes in making a way where there seems to be no way. Human limitations do not constrain Him. He knows everything about our lives, including our struggles and challenges, and He is more than able to provide solutions.

Throughout Scripture, God has demonstrated His miraculous power by delivering His people, providing for their needs, and giving them favor in unexpected places. Even when enemies seek to destroy His chosen ones, He preserves them and frustrates the plans of the wicked.

Many people struggle with fear about the future, but those who trust in God have nothing to worry about. He is faithful to provide, protect, and guide His people. His presence is ever with those who seek Him, and He delights in showing His power in their lives.
