THE RIGHTEOUS JUDGMENT OF GOD By: Major Frank Materu

INTRODUCTION
The justice of God is perfect, and His judgment is righteous. Many have suffered in their faithfulness to Him, facing persecution, betrayal, and injustice. However, God reminds His people that vengeance belongs to Him, not to man. Bitterness and revenge are traps of the enemy, but trust in God’s justice leads to divine vindication. Additionally, in these perilous times, deception has led many to compromise their faith, embracing sin for the sake of relationships or personal gain. God calls His people to repentance and true devotion, warning that those who remain in spiritual adultery will face His wrath. This sermon explores God's vengeance, the necessity of repentance, and the call to faithfulness.

VENEGANCE BELONGS TO THE LORD
Deuteronomy 32:35 - "Vengeance is mine, and recompense, for the time when their foot shall slip; for the day of their calamity is at hand, and their doom comes swiftly."
God is the ultimate judge, and He assures His people that He will repay the wicked for their deeds. Believers should not take matters into their own hands but instead trust in God's divine justice. Revenge is a destructive force that perpetuates hatred and violence across generations. Instead of harboring bitterness, believers must trust in God's plan and allow Him to vindicate them. Jesus Himself provided the perfect example by forgiving those who crucified Him.

THE DANGER OF COMPROMISING WITH SIN
2 Corinthians 6:17 - "Therefore, 'Come out from them and be separate, says the Lord. Touch no unclean thing, and I will receive you.'"
In today’s world, many have compromised their faith to maintain sinful relationships. This is a dangerous path that leads to spiritual destruction. When believers approve of sin for the sake of personal comfort, they become accomplices in the destruction of souls. The deception that God accepts people while they remain in sin is a lie from the enemy. True faith requires standing firm in righteousness, even if it means separation from those who reject God's truth.

REPENTANCE AND THE KNOWLEDGE OF GOD
Acts 3:19 - "Repent therefore, and turn back, that your sins may be blotted out."
God knows all things, and no sin is hidden from Him. Many are led astray by their own desires, but true repentance brings transformation. The call to repentance has always been central to God's message, from John the Baptist to Jesus Christ. Today, the Holy Spirit continues to convict hearts, drawing people to salvation. Sadly, many are blinded by the lies of the world and are perishing in their sins. As ambassadors of Christ, believers have the responsibility to call sinners to repentance and bring them to the saving knowledge of Jesus.

THE GRAVE SIN OF SPIRITUAL ADULTERY
James 4:4 - "You adulterous people! Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Therefore whoever wishes to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God."
Many who call themselves Christians have become unfaithful to God, chasing after worldly desires and forsaking their commitment to Him. This spiritual adultery is detestable to God, and He will not tolerate it. Just as physical adultery was punishable by death in the Old Testament, spiritual unfaithfulness leads to eternal separation from God. The plagues and calamities of this world are a manifestation of divine judgment upon those who have forsaken their first love. Only deep, genuine repentance can turn away God’s wrath.

SUMMARY
God's justice is sure, and He will bring vengeance upon the wicked. Believers must trust in His judgment rather than taking matters into their own hands. Compromising with sin leads to destruction, and true repentance is the only way to restoration. Many have turned away from God in spiritual adultery, but He calls His people to faithfulness.

God’s people must remain steadfast in righteousness, resisting the deception of the world. The call to repentance is urgent, as God's judgment is imminent. Instead of seeking revenge or embracing sin, believers must rely on God's perfect justice and remain faithful to Him.
