EXPOSING SPIRITUAL WHOREDOM AND ADULTERY IN THE CHURCH By Major. Frank Materu
Introduction
It is the Living God who will expose the spiritual whoredom and adultery of those who claim to be His people, and the sight will be terrifying
The Lord is revealing the hidden sins of those who stand against Him, and He has grown weary of their rebellion.
Key Scripture:
"For the time has come for judgment to begin at the house of God; and if it begins with us first, what will be the end of those who do not obey the gospel of God?" (1 Peter 4:17, NKJV)
1. The Corruption Within
Many who present themselves as the church of God are filled with filth and corruption.
They have embraced spiritual adultery, defiling themselves with evil practices, while pretending innocence.
Key Points:
A Church in Defilement: What claims to be God's church is often filled with spiritual fornication, ungodliness, and abominations.
Self Deception: While indulging in sin, they say, "We have done no wrong," but they stand as harlots before God.
God’s Exposure: The Lord will expose their wickedness so that those with ears to hear may come out from among them.
Call to Action:
Flee from spiritual corruption and embrace repentance before the Living God.
2. The Call to True Repentance
The Lord calls His people to leave the falsehoods, shake off the dust, and come to Him in true repentance.
Those who love their defilement will perish in it, but those who heed His voice will find life.
Scriptural Insight:
"Come out from among them and be separate, says the Lord. Do not touch what is unclean, and I will receive you." (2 Corinthians 6:17, NKJV)
Key Points: A Separation Required: True repentance demands leaving the corrupt systems behind and seeking God wholeheartedly.
Judgment for the Wicked: Those who prefer lies to truth will face judgment for their rebellion against God.
The Narrow Path: Walking the straight and narrow way of humility is the only path to life.
Encouragement:
Step away from falsehoods and fix your eyes on Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith.
3. God’s Standards Do Not Change
The Living God remains consistent in His expectations. His standards of righteousness are unwavering and apply to every generation.
Scriptural Assurance:
"For I am the Lord, I do not change." (Malachi 3:6, NKJV)
Key Points:
God’s Justice: The same God who required sacrifice and perseverance in one generation will not lower His standards for another.
A Price to Pay: Many have laid down their lives for the testimony of Jesus, and God will honor their faithfulness.
Accountability: Those who refuse to meet His standards out of rebellion will not be accepted.
Reflection:
Are you willing to endure hardships and remain faithful to the Lord?
4. The Wilderness Calling
God does not send His messengers to the comfort of religious institutions but to the wilderness, where they cry out for repentance. Like John the Baptist, they are called to prepare the way of the Lord.
Key Scripture:
"The voice of one crying in the wilderness: ‘Prepare the way of the Lord; make His paths straight.’" (Matthew 3:3, NKJV)
Key Points:
Rejection by the Religious: Just as John was sent to the wilderness, God’s messengers today are sent outside the established systems, where people are ready to hear the truth.
A Hard Journey: The wilderness is not a place of comfort but one of preparation, discipline, and reliance on God.
A Soldier’s Spirit: Those called to the wilderness must endure hardships as good soldiers of Christ, focusing on fulfilling God’s commission.
Encouragement:
Brace yourself and embrace the wilderness journey, for it is in the wilderness that God molds His true servants.
5. Standing Firm in Holiness
God’s standards for His people are not negotiable.
Only those who reach His standard of righteousness and holiness will be received into His kingdom.
Scriptural Insight:
"Pursue peace with all people, and holiness, without which no one will see the Lord." (Hebrews 12:14, NKJV)
Key Points:
The Cost of Holiness: True faith requires perseverance and sacrifice, just as the saints of old laid down their lives for the truth.
The Danger of Compromise: Those who settle for mediocrity and embrace sin will reap its wages—death.
A Call to Excellence: God’s people are called to live by His standards, striving for the perfection found in Christ.
Challenge:
Are you willing to lay down your own desires and align your life with God’s unchanging standards?
Conclusion
God is exposing the spiritual adultery and corruption of those who claim to be His church. He is calling His true followers to come out of deception, embrace repentance, and walk in the light of His truth.
Final Encouragement:
"Come, let us return to the Lord; for He has torn, but He will heal us; He has stricken, but He will bind us up." (Hosea 6:1, NKJV)
Now is the time to rise, reject compromise, and stand firm in holiness.
The Lord is sending His messengers into the wilderness to cry out for repentance. Will you answer the call?
