CONVERTED OR PERVERTED? By Major Frank Materu
Key Scripture: Romans 12:2
"Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—His good, pleasing and perfect will."

Introduction
In this time of increasing moral decay, spiritual confusion, and widespread rebellion, God’s call to His people is louder than ever. The Lord is making it clear that we will either be completely converted, walking in His truth and righteousness, or utterly perverted, falling prey to the lies and deceptions of the times. This message serves as a warning and a reminder to choose the path of conversion that leads to eternal life in Christ.
As the pressures of these times intensify, many find themselves either drawn closer to God or swept away by the currents of rebellion, worldliness, and self-indulgence. It is vital to understand that every choice we make is either aligning us with God or separating us from Him. God desires His people to walk in uprightness and victory, but this can only be achieved when we commit to His ways wholeheartedly.

Be Aware of the Deceptions of the Times
2 Timothy 3:1-2
"But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy."
We live in a time when lies are widespread, and many have embraced confusion and wickedness as a lifestyle. The enemy seeks to ensnare God’s people with distractions, temptations, and rebellion. The truth of the matter is that the world’s ways lead to delusion, disruption, and destruction.

God’s Call to Uprightness
Micah 6:8
"He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God."
God desires that His people walk in obedience and humility. By rejecting rebellion and worldly temptations, we align ourselves with His will. The pressure to conform to the world is strong, but those who remain steadfast in faith and truth will experience His peace and joy.

The Consequences of Rebellion
Proverbs 14:12
"There is a way that appears to be right, but in the end it leads to death."
Rebellion against God brings isolation, desolation, and despair. Many are caught in a web of sin and refuse to cry out to God for deliverance. Their love for the world and its ways blinds them to the truth and keeps them in bondage.

The Path of Conversion
John 14:6
"Jesus answered, 'I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'”
To be converted means to fully submit to God’s will and trust in Him as the source of our strength. It requires listening to His Spirit and obeying His Word. Those who are converted find themselves walking in the freshness and sweetness of His presence, free from the deception of the enemy.

Victory Through Obedience
1 Corinthians 15:57
"But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ."
God does not want His people to be victims of the times but victors in Christ. Victory is found in daily obedience to His Spirit, which leads to a life of peace, joy, and fulfillment. By trusting in His direction and correction, we walk the path of eternal life.
