IT IS WONDERFUL TO BE CONSECRATED UNTO THE LIVING GOD! By Major Frank Materu

Key Scripture: Romans 12:1-2 (KJV)
"I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God."

Introduction
Consecration to the Living God is a privilege and a calling for every believer. It is a call to total commitment, separation, and dedication to the ways of the Lord. Unfortunately, many who claim to be God’s people have strayed, following false prophets and deceptive doctrines, thereby defiling themselves with the ways of the world. These people retain the name of God but lack true submission and obedience to Him. Instead, they have turned to the pleasures of the world, partaking from the table of the beast and drinking from the cup of devils, deceiving themselves while thinking they are still in fellowship with God.

The Danger of False Commitment
Many believers today profess faith in God while living in rebellion. They claim to be followers of Christ but have conformed to the world. Their hearts have turned away from the truth, and they have aligned themselves with false teachers who encourage a lifestyle that is contrary to God’s will. The scriptures warn us against such deception. "This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me." (Matthew 15:8, KJV).

The Table of the Beast and the Cup of Devils
A great tragedy in today’s church is the compromise of true holiness. Many have chosen to feed on the corrupt doctrines of the world, embracing sin under the pretense of grace. They indulge in worldliness, forsaking the narrow path of righteousness. The Bible warns us: "Ye cannot drink the cup of the Lord, and the cup of devils: ye cannot be partakers of the Lord's table, and of the table of devils." (1 Corinthians 10:21, KJV). Those who live in disobedience while claiming to be God's people will face His wrath.

The Call to Walk in Consecration
God desires a people who will wholly follow Him. He has called us to live in obedience and holiness, separated from the defilements of the world. True believers must reject the falsehoods of modern-day prophets who preach a compromised gospel. Instead, we must seek the will of God and walk in His righteousness. The Bible urges us in 2 Corinthians 6:17-18 (KJV): "Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you. And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty."

The Judgment of the Disobedient
The time of reckoning is at hand. God’s wrath is being poured out upon nations and individuals who have rejected His ways. He is no longer showing mercy to those who persist in sin but is allowing them to suffer the consequences of their rebellion. The false prophets and those who partake in their deceit will face destruction. The Lord says in Jeremiah 23:16 (KJV): "Thus saith the Lord of hosts, Hearken not unto the words of the prophets that prophesy unto you: they make you vain: they speak a vision of their own heart, and not out of the mouth of the Lord."

The True Reward of the Righteous
Those who remain consecrated to God will receive His divine covering, protection, and eternal inheritance. Walking in righteousness guarantees God’s favor and leads to eternal life. The Lord has promised in Psalm 91:1-2 (KJV): "He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust."

Conclusion
God is calling His people to a life of total consecration. The times are evil, and the judgment of God is upon those who have forsaken Him. We must reject the ways of the world, flee from false teachings, and fully submit to God's will. The choice is ours: we can either partake of the table of the Lord or the table of the beast. As believers, let us embrace the way of holiness, walk in obedience, and find refuge in the presence of the Living God.

Final Word of Encouragement
God is faithful to those who remain steadfast in Him. If you choose to walk in consecration, He will uphold you with His mighty hand. Do not be discouraged by the trials of life. The Lord is your strength, and He will guide you in righteousness. Remember His promise: "But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint." (Isaiah 40:31, KJV).

Salvation Prayer
If you have never accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, or if you have strayed from Him and want to return, pray this prayer from your heart:
Heavenly Father, I come before You in the name of Jesus Christ. I acknowledge that I am a sinner, and I need Your mercy and forgiveness. I believe that Jesus Christ died for my sins and rose again on the third day. Today, I repent of my sins and surrender my life to You. Lord Jesus, come into my heart, be my Lord and Savior, and help me to live a life that pleases You. Thank You for saving me. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
