Introduction

In the face of a wicked, corrupt, and perverse generation, many continue to walk in darkness, led astray by falsehood and deceit. The words of the Living God, spoken through His messengers, call us to recognize the severity of His wrath upon the wicked. God’s judgment will not be held back. The evildoers who persist in their lies and corruption will find themselves in the fire of divine judgment. However, there is a way of escape for those who humble themselves and walk in truth. This message warns us about the consequences of choosing lies over truth, pride over humility, and sin over righteousness.

The Corrupt Generations and Their Lies

“Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; who put darkness for light, and light for darkness; who put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!” (Isaiah 5:20)

The Living God has seen the spread of corruption in every corner of the earth. From the highest authorities to the everyday lives of individuals, the lies are numerous and devastating. Men have corrupted the truth, creating a false reality where sin is embraced and labeled as good. This generation is not the first to indulge in such deception, for we can trace it all the way back to the rejection of truth in the Garden of Eden. Yet, God's wrath continues to burn against these deceivers, for He will not tolerate the desecration of His truth.

God's Justice and the Consequences of Wickedness

“Do not be deceived: God is not mocked. For whatever one sows, that will he also reap.” (Galatians 6:7)

God’s justice is clear. The wicked will not go unpunished. Those who sow lies, deceit, and corruption will reap destruction. There is a time when God’s wrath is revealed upon those who have persisted in rebellion against Him. For those who mock His justice and deny His authority, they will eventually face the consequences of their actions. The Living God is not mocked; He will ensure that judgment comes to those who believe they can escape it.

The Narrow Way and the Few Who Walk in Truth

“Enter by the narrow gate. For the gate is wide and the way is easy that leads to destruction, and those who enter by it are many. For the gate is narrow and the way is hard that leads to life, and those who find it are few.” (Matthew 7:13-14)

Though the majority of the world follows the broad path of corruption and sin, the way of truth and righteousness is narrow and few find it. This is not a new phenomenon, as it has always been the case that those who stand firm in truth and holiness are often outnumbered by those who walk in lies and deceit. But the few who follow God’s path of righteousness are precious in His sight, and they are the ones who will ultimately be redeemed and blessed.

The Corrupt, Proud, and Rebellious Will Be Brought Low

“The pride of your heart has deceived you, you who live in the clefts of the rock, who hold the height of the hill. Though you make your nest as high as the eagle's, I will bring you down from there, declares the Lord.” (Obadiah 1:3)

Pride blinds many to the truth, and the corrupt who live in their pride will eventually find themselves humbled. Though they may seem invincible, with power, wealth, and influence, they will be brought low by the hand of the Living God. The proud will fall, and all their possessions and achievements will be of no use when God’s judgment is executed. Those who reject the sovereignty of God and place their trust in their own strength will be exposed as foolish and weak before the Almighty.

The Call for Repentance and Humility

“If my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.” (2 Chronicles 7:14)

In the face of God’s impending wrath, there is still hope for repentance. For those who humble themselves, turn away from their wickedness, and seek God’s forgiveness, His mercy will be extended. There is no one so far gone that they cannot be redeemed by the mercy of God. But it requires genuine repentance and a turning away from sin. Those who persist in pride, refusing to humble themselves, will not escape the judgment that is to come.

Summary

God’s anger is revealed against those who continue to live in rebellion, rejecting His truth and embracing lies. The corrupt and the proud will be brought low, and only those who walk in truth, humility, and repentance will stand firm in the coming judgment. This is a time to examine our hearts and turn from the lies of this world. While the majority may walk the path of destruction, there is hope for those who seek the truth and humbly follow the Living God.
