A Clear Day By Major Frank Materu

Main Scripture

“Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.” Matthew 5:8.

Introduction

In a world filled with distractions, confusion, and spiritual blindness, it is a privilege to experience the clarity of vision that comes from God. Many are caught in the haze of worldly concerns, unable to see the beauty and truth of God’s kingdom. However, there are moments, referred to as "clear days," when our vision aligns with God’s truth, and we see beyond the physical realm to behold the beauty of His eternal kingdom. This clarity not only brings hope but also strengthens our spiritual journey. In these times, we must strive to see through the lens of faith and be receptive to the light of God's presence.

The Struggle with Spiritual Blindness

In today’s world, spiritual blindness has become rampant. Demonic powers have clouded the vision of many, leading them into despair and darkness. The enemy seeks to keep people in confusion, unable to see clearly, causing them to stumble and fall into sin. As it is written:

“The god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, to keep them from seeing the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.” 2 Corinthians 4:4

The distractions of modern life, the pollution of sin, and the allure of temporary pleasures often prevent people from seeing the reality of God's truth. This leads them to live in spiritual blindness, unaware of the glory of God that surrounds them. It is essential to recognize this blindness and desire the clarity that only God can provide.

The Gift of Clear Vision

God promises to provide clear days—times when our spiritual vision aligns with His will. When we open our hearts to Him, we begin to see things as they truly are: His kingdom, His glory, and the hope He offers to all who trust in Him.

“I will give you the treasures of darkness and the hoards in secret places, that you may know that it is I, the Lord, the God of Israel, who call you by your name.” Isaiah 45:3

Clear days are moments of revelation when the beauty of God’s creation and His eternal truths are made visible to us. On such days, we are able to see beyond the physical world and understand the deeper realities of the spiritual realm. This clarity of vision brings peace and a renewed sense of purpose, reminding us of our place in God’s eternal plan.

The Dangers of False Vision

In contrast, many are deceived by the false visions of the world. The pride of humanity, often fueled by demonic influence, leads people to believe they are invincible and self-sufficient. Yet, these delusions are fleeting, and all who reject God’s truth will eventually face the consequences of their rebellion.

As the scripture warns:.

“The Lord knows the thoughts of the wise, that they are futile.” 1 Corinthians 3:20

Those who build their lives apart from God will see their efforts crumble. The dreams and schemes of those who mock God and reject His ways are destined for destruction. Their visions of grandeur are nothing but a temporary illusion, and they will be brought low by their pride.

The Call to Spiritual Clarity.

God calls us to seek clarity and to reject the spiritual smog of the world. By turning our focus to Him, we can experience the clear vision that allows us to behold His kingdom and understand our true purpose.

“If your eye is healthy, your whole body will be full of light.” Matthew 6:22

As we draw near to God and seek His guidance, He will increase our spiritual vision, allowing us to see the beauty of His creation and the truth of His Word. This clarity leads to a life of purpose, free from the confusion and distractions of the world.

The Reality of Hell and the Importance of True Vision

Those who reject the call to clarity and continue in spiritual blindness are heading toward eternal separation from God. The darkness they choose will consume them, and they will face the eternal consequences of their rebellion. This is a sobering reality, and we are reminded:

“But the one who does not know God, will be separated from Him eternally, as a punishment for their sins.” 2 Thessalonians 1:9.

However, those who respond to God’s call for clarity will experience eternal life with Him, living in His presence and beholding His glory. This is the ultimate "clear day"—a day when we see God face to face, free from the distractions and blindness of this world.

Summary

In a world plagued by spiritual blindness, God offers us the gift of clear vision. By aligning our hearts with Him, we can experience the clarity that comes from His presence. This clarity allows us to see beyond the physical realm and understand the deeper truths of God’s kingdom. We are called to reject the delusions of the world and seek the true vision that only God can provide. On the clear days He gives, we can see forever, beholding the beauty of His eternal kingdom.
