A CALL TO SERVE SELFLESSLY By Major Frank Materuv
Key Scripture:
"Freely you have received; freely give."
– Matthew 10:8b
Introduction
God’s love is boundless and freely given to all humanity through the sacrifice of His Son, Jesus Christ. From this foundation, Free Love Ministries was established in obedience to God's command.
The name, though seemingly unconventional and subject to criticism, serves as a declaration of God's purpose: to exemplify His glory and unconditional love.
In a world filled with materialism and selfishness, this ministry stands as a testament to giving freely, as we have received freely.
1. THE ESSENCE OF FREE LOVE
Key Verse:
"Buy the truth, and do not sell it." – Proverbs 23:23
God’s love is a gift freely given to all, requiring no payment or merit.
The Gospel is not a commodity to be sold; instead, it is a treasure entrusted to us, meant to be shared generously.
Jesus modeled this love by offering Himself entirely for our salvation. As followers of Christ, we are called to embrace this same selflessness, distributing God’s love to others without reservation.
2. THE TRUMPET CALL: GOD'S CRY TO REPENTANCE
Key Verse:
"Blow the trumpet in Zion; sound the alarm on my holy hill. Let all who live in the land tremble, for the day of the Lord is coming." – Joel 2:1
God’s voice is like the sound of a trumpet, resounding across the earth and calling His people to repentance.
This trumpet call is a summons to awaken, to humble ourselves, and to seek His face. It is a call for all believers to become vessels of His message, proclaiming His truth with boldness so that others may come to Him in surrender and salvation.
3. OPERATION RESCUE: A MISSION TO SAVE THE PERISHING
Key Verse:
"The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few." – Matthew 9:37
In a world filled with confusion and distractions, countless souls are adrift in a stormy sea of sin. God’s people are called to shine as beacons of hope, tirelessly extending His invitation to salvation. The mission to rescue the perishing requires perseverance, courage, and compassion. Even when our efforts are met with resistance, we must continue to sound the alarm and guide others to the Ark of safety—Jesus Christ.
4. RESTORATION MISSIONS: BRINGING BACK REVIVAL
Key Verse:
"If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land."
– 2 Chronicles 7:14
Revival is God’s heart’s desire for His people.
However, restoration is not an easy task. It requires steadfast prayer, spiritual strength, and a willingness to confront sin and brokenness. God desires to restore His people to righteousness, faithfulness, and a deep relationship with Him.
True revival comes when we humble ourselves, intercede for others, and align our hearts with His.
5. PRINCIPLES AND POSITIONS: ALIGNING WITH GOD'S ORDER
Key Verse:
"But everything should be done in a fitting and orderly way." – 1 Corinthians 14:40
God has established principles and positions to guide His people and maintain order. These principles are safeguards, ensuring we remain on His path and fulfill His purposes. Like a well-organized army, believers must adhere to divine instructions, working in harmony with the Holy Spirit. This structure enables us to serve effectively and advance God’s Kingdom.
Summary
Free Love Ministries is a reflection of God’s generous and selfless nature. From rescuing lost souls to restoring spiritual vitality, the mission requires courage, perseverance, and alignment with God’s principles. As God’s people, we must embrace the call to give freely, live boldly, and work diligently for His Kingdom.
Conclusion
God has called us to be His ambassadors, demonstrating His free and boundless love to the world. Whether through sounding the trumpet of repentance, rescuing the lost, or restoring revival, our mandate is clear. Let us remain faithful, steadfast, and aligned with His will, knowing that His Spirit empowers us for every good work.
"Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain." – 1 Corinthians 15:58
May God’s free love inspire and strengthen you as you fulfill His mission.
