THE SPIRITUAL WARFARE IN THE LAST DAYS By: Major Frank Materu
Key Scripture: Ephesians 6:12 - "For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places."
Introduction
We are living in perilous times, where darkness and evil forces are at work in every sphere of human life. The enemy seeks to bring fear, despair, and destruction upon the world. Multitudes are enslaved by demonic forces that drive them into violence, lawlessness, and deep sin. Many do not even realize that they are under the control of dark forces that push them toward acts of wickedness and rebellion against God.
However, as believers, we are called to walk in the freedom and power of Jesus Christ. The battle we face is not physical but spiritual, and only through Christ can we stand firm and overcome the schemes of the enemy. This teaching will explore the current spiritual warfare, the dangers of demonic influence, and how believers can remain victorious through faith in God.

THE REALITY OF DEMONIC CAPTIVITY
John 8:36 - "If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed."
Many people today are living in spiritual captivity, bound by demonic influences that drive them into deep sin and destruction. These spirits cause people to commit atrocities, engage in lawlessness, and indulge in abominable acts. The world is filled with violence, horror, and terror, as the forces of darkness operate freely in those who do not know Christ.
The sad reality is that many are trapped in this bondage without any awareness of their condition. They are pushed further into evil without the ability to free themselves. Only the power of Jesus Christ can break these chains and bring true deliverance.

THE PRIVILEGE OF FREEDOM IN CHRIST
Galatians 5:1 - "Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage."
For those who have received Christ, there is a privilege of freedom. We are no longer bound by sin or demonic oppression, but we are set free to walk in righteousness and holiness. This freedom should not be taken for granted, for it is a great blessing to be under the covering of God’s protection.
While multitudes are driven into darkness, believers have the assurance of God's presence and guidance. Through His Spirit, we are led in a plain path, away from the traps of the enemy.

THE DANGER OF RELIGIOUS HYPOCRISY
Matthew 7:21-23 - "Not everyone that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven."
One of the greatest dangers in these times is the rise of religious hypocrisy. Many claim to be believers but continue to live under the influence of evil. They are controlled by spirits of deception and self-righteousness, leading them to be religious murderers, condemning others while hiding their own sins.
Such individuals deceive themselves into thinking they are serving God, yet their hearts remain distant from Him. True believers must be vigilant and ensure that their faith is genuine, rooted in obedience to God’s will.

THE SPREAD OF VIOLENCE AND WARFARE
Matthew 24:6-7 - "And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet."
The world is in turmoil, filled with wars, violence, and chaos. This is a sign of the times, as prophesied by Jesus Christ. Many people, regardless of their status, are living in fear and uncertainty. They feel powerless as events unfold beyond their control.
In this atmosphere of confusion, some are driven to despair, while others embrace violence and destruction. The enemy seeks to turn people into raving madmen, pushing them into a state of spiritual and mental instability.

GOD’S PROTECTION FOR HIS PEOPLE
Psalm 91:1-2 - "He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust."
Despite the darkness covering the earth, God has provided a place of safety for His people. Those who abide in Him will be shielded from the destruction that overtakes the wicked. He is our refuge, our stronghold in times of trouble.
We must remain close to Him, walking in obedience and faithfulness. By doing so, we will experience His protection, provision, and guidance in all circumstances.

SUMMARY AND CONCLUSION
In these perilous times, we must remain vigilant and aware of the spiritual battle surrounding us. The enemy seeks to bring destruction, but in Christ, we have the victory. By staying close to God, walking in holiness, and remaining steadfast in faith, we will overcome the schemes of the devil.
