WILL TOMORROW BRING YOU SORROW? By: Major Frank Materu
Key Scripture: Proverbs 14:12
"There is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way of death."

INTRODUCTION
Many people live their lives without considering the consequences of their choices. They walk through life indulging in sin, following their own desires, and disregarding God’s commandments. They do not realize that their actions today determine their tomorrow. Instead of securing a future of peace and eternal life, they are walking on a road that leads to sorrow and destruction.
God does not intend for humanity to live in sorrow and separation from Him. His desire is that all men, women, and children believe in Jesus Christ, repent of their sins, and live according to His righteous ways. However, many reject this path and choose the temporary pleasures of sin, which only lead to misery and eternal damnation.
In this lesson, we will explore the spiritual dangers of living in disobedience, the consequences of ignoring God’s call to righteousness, and the hope that comes from choosing the Way of Life through Christ Jesus.

THE ROAD TO SORROW AND EMPTINESS
Romans 6:23
"For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord."
When people indulge in sin, they give room for demons to control their lives. The enemy leads them further into deception, until they reach a point of spiritual emptiness. Sin promises pleasure, but in the end, it only delivers sorrow. When sinners reach the end of their path, they find themselves lost, broken, and condemned to an eternity without God.
Many have chosen to gratify the flesh at the expense of their souls. They fail to realize that the desires of the flesh lead to corruption and eternal death. Without repentance, their tomorrow will be filled with sorrow that cannot be escaped.

CHOOSING THE WAY OF LIFE THROUGH JESUS
John 14:6
"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.'"
God, in His mercy, has provided a way of escape from destruction. He sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to die for our sins so that we may have eternal life. Those who repent and believe in Jesus will not be condemned but will have the assurance of a blessed tomorrow.
The choice is clear: follow the path of the world and inherit sorrow, or follow Christ and inherit eternal joy. Those who accept Jesus as their Lord and Savior will not fear the future, for they will be under the protection of God’s grace.

THE CONSEQUENCES OF DECEPTION AND IDOLATRY
Exodus 20:3
"You shall have no other gods before Me."
In today’s world, people seek comfort in idols instead of turning to God. Whether it be wealth, power, fame, or pleasure, these idols cannot save them. Instead, they bring sorrow, fear, and spiritual death.
The Bible warns that those who choose idols over God will suffer the consequences of their disobedience. They may feel secure for a time, but their tomorrows will be filled with sorrow. They will reap what they have sown, and in the end, their lives will be filled with regret.

STAYING ON THE PATH OF RIGHTEOUSNESS
Galatians 6:9
"And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart."
For those who have chosen to follow Christ, the journey is not always easy. The enemy constantly tries to lure believers away from the faith. However, those who remain steadfast will be rewarded.
God calls His people to stay on the straight and narrow path. He gives them strength to overcome temptation and wisdom to discern the lies of the enemy. By remaining faithful, believers can be assured that their future is secure in God’s hands.

Those who reject Him will face the consequences of their choices, but those who believe in Him will have the assurance of a blessed future.

Heavenly Father, I come before You in the name of Jesus Christ. I acknowledge that I am a sinner and that I have lived apart from You. I repent of my sins and ask for Your forgiveness. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit and help me to walk in Your ways. From this day forward, I will serve You and follow You. Thank You for saving me. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen.
