THE DANGER OF BREEDING GROUND FOR DEMONIC INFLUENCE By: Major Frank Materu
Key Scripture: Matthew 24:37-39
"As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. For in the days before the flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, up to the day Noah entered the ark; and they knew nothing about what would happen until the flood came and took them all away. That is how it will be at the coming of the Son of Man."

Introduction
The world today mirrors the times of Noah, where sin, lawlessness, and demonic influences dominate society. Many people have become blind to the truth, indulging in wickedness and rejecting God's warnings. Instead of seeking holiness, they have created a breeding ground for demonic activities, allowing spiritual corruption to take root in their lives. This study highlights the dangers of embracing worldliness over godliness and calls believers to remain steadfast in their faith, discerning the times and staying prepared for Christ’s return.

The Deception of False Foundations
Matthew 7:26-27
"But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell with a great crash."
Many have built their lives on shifting sands—on human philosophies, false doctrines, and worldly pleasures. These foundations are unstable, leading to spiritual collapse when trials come. The world offers temporary satisfaction, but only Christ provides a firm and unshakable foundation.

Demonic Influence in the Last Days
1 Timothy 4:1
"The Spirit clearly says that in later times some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons."
Demonic influences have infiltrated culture, entertainment, and even some religious institutions. Many people unknowingly align themselves with these forces, indulging in practices that open doors for spiritual corruption. Just as in Noah’s time, people are deeply immersed in sin without realizing their impending judgment.

The Wrath of God Against Sin
Romans 1:18
"The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of people, who suppress the truth by their wickedness."
God's judgment is not arbitrary; it is a response to humanity’s deliberate rejection of righteousness. When societies normalize sin, they invite divine judgment upon themselves. The flood in Noah’s time was a direct consequence of unchecked wickedness, and similar consequences await those who persist in sin today.

The Call to Spiritual Discernment
Ephesians 5:15-16
"Be very careful, then, how you live—not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil."
Believers must be vigilant and discerning, recognizing the spiritual battles that surround them. The enemy’s goal is to deceive and lead people away from God, but through prayer, the Word of God, and the Holy Spirit’s guidance, we can stand firm against deception.

Summary
The present times are marked by moral and spiritual decay, much like the days of Noah. Many are unaware that their actions invite demonic influences into their lives, creating a breeding ground for destruction. God calls His people to build their lives on Christ, the Solid Rock, and to reject the false foundations that lead to ruin.

Conclusion
God does not desire for His people to be lost in deception. He has provided a way of escape through Jesus Christ. Those who remain steadfast in faith, resist demonic influences, and pursue righteousness will be spared from destruction. The time for repentance is now. The door to salvation remains open, but it will not be open forever.

Prayer of Salvation
If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus, pray this prayer with sincerity:
Heavenly Father, I come before You, recognizing that I am a sinner in need of Your mercy. I repent of my sins and ask for Your forgiveness. I believe that Jesus Christ is Your Son, that He died for my sins, and that He rose again. I confess Jesus as my Lord and Savior, and I surrender my life to Him. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit and help me to walk in Your ways. Thank You for saving me and giving me eternal life. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
