God\'s Wrath Upon Immorality By: Major Frank Materu
Key Scripture: Isaiah 13:11 - "I will punish the world for its evil, the wicked for their sins. I will put an end to the arrogance of the haughty and will humble the pride of the ruthless."

INTRODUCTION
In every generation, there comes a time when the wickedness of men reaches its peak, provoking the fierce wrath of God. The Bible is filled with instances where the Living God rises in judgment against nations, cities, and individuals who have embraced sin and turned away from righteousness. The warning is clear: God will not tolerate rebellion indefinitely.
The world today has become a Basin of Smut, filled with filth, corruption, and abominations that defy the holiness of God. Just as Sodom and Gomorrah fell under divine judgment, so shall those who continue in their defilement without repentance. This message serves as a divine warning, calling all to flee from sin, seek righteousness, and return to the Lord before His cup of wrath is poured out in full measure.

THE ABOMINATIONS OF THE BASIN OF SMUT
Romans 1:28-32 - "Furthermore, just as they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, so God gave them over to a depraved mind, so that they do what ought not to be done... Although they know God's righteous decree that those who do such things deserve death, they not only continue to do these very things but also approve of those who practice them."
The world today thrives on sin, glorifying perversion, immorality, and deception. Media, entertainment, and even religious institutions have embraced corruption, celebrating that which God hates. The nations have polluted the air with their sins, causing the earth to groan under their weight. This is a direct affront to God, who will not be mocked. The continuous rebellion of humanity invites the fury of the Almighty.

GOD'S INDIGNATION AND THE COMING JUDGMENT
Nahum 1:2-3 - "The Lord is a jealous and avenging God; the Lord takes vengeance and is filled with wrath. The Lord takes vengeance on his foes and vents his wrath against his enemies. The Lord is slow to anger but great in power; the Lord will not leave the guilty unpunished."
The patience of God has limits. Throughout history, God has destroyed wicked nations, bringing them to rubble because of their sins. Babylon, Nineveh, Sodom, and Gomorrah were all warned before their destruction. Yet, they refused to repent. In the same way, the modern world is facing an impending judgment. The proud and arrogant believe they will remain forever, but God is about to shake the foundations of the earth. He will reduce to nothing the works of the wicked.

THE EARTH AND THE HEAVENS WILL TESTIFY AGAINST THE WICKED
Luke 19:40 - "I tell you," he replied, "if they keep quiet, the stones will cry out."
The earth, the skies, and all of creation are witnesses to the abominations of mankind. The pollution, the defilement, and the sins of men have defiled the very elements of the world. The natural order groans under the weight of iniquity. As a result, God will cause the very elements to rise in judgment. The winds, the waters, the fires, and the earthquakes will serve as instruments of divine justice, proclaiming the downfall of those who refuse to repent.

THE FINAL CALL TO REPENTANCE
2 Chronicles 7:14 - "If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land."
Even in His wrath, God offers mercy to those who will humble themselves and turn away from wickedness. There is still a chance for individuals, communities, and nations to escape the coming destruction. The call is clear: Repent now, flee from the Basin of Smut, and seek the righteousness of the Lord. Those who mock God's call will not escape His judgment. The wise will heed the warning and take refuge in Him.

CONCLUSION
God's judgment is certain. No power on earth can withstand His wrath when it is unleashed. The wicked who persist in sin will be brought low, but the righteous who seek Him will be saved. Now is the time to choose whom you will serve. Will you continue in rebellion, or will you humble yourself before the Lord? The choice is yours, but the consequences are eternal.

FINAL WORD OF ENCOURAGEMENT
Psalms 91:1-2 - "Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, 'He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.'"
Though the world is drowning in sin, God's mercy is still available. He is a refuge for those who trust in Him. The righteous will not be forsaken. Stand firm in faith, hold onto His promises, and live in obedience. God will preserve His people and deliver them from destruction.
