THE MALICIOUS MENTALITY OF FATALITY By: Major Frank Materu
Key Scripture: Ecclesiastes 7:29 - "Lo, this only have I found, that God hath made man upright; but they have sought out many inventions."

Introduction
From the very beginning, God created mankind to be upright, walking in righteousness and truth. However, through the deception of the serpent, humanity fell into sin, seeking after inventions of their own making. These inventions are not merely technological advancements but spiritual deviations that lead people away from the truth of God into lies and destruction.
The malicious mentality is a mindset that prioritizes self-interest, rebellion, and deception over obedience to God. It is the root of many false teachings, religious manipulations, and destructive behaviors that separate people from the presence and favor of the Almighty. Those who walk in this mentality eventually face spiritual fatality, as they reject the truth of God and instead embrace deception.
This study explores the dangers of the malicious mentality and its impact on individuals and society. It also provides biblical insight into how believers can guard themselves against falling into its traps and remain in a true relationship with God.

The Origin of the Malicious Mentality
Genesis 3:4-5 - "And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die: For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil."
The fall of mankind began with a lie that enticed Eve to seek an invention beyond God’s provision. This same deceptive spirit continues to operate today, luring many into falsehoods that appear to offer enlightenment but instead lead to separation from God.
The enemy has always used pride and self-exaltation to lead people into disobedience. Adam and Eve had all they needed in the Garden, yet they believed they needed more. This insatiable desire to invent new ways outside of God’s plan is at the heart of the malicious mentality.

Religious Inventions: The Man-Made Captivity
Matthew 15:9 - "But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men."
Religion, in its corrupt form, is one of the greatest inventions of man. True faith in God is about relationship, but throughout history, religious leaders have created systems that enslave people rather than bring them into intimacy with God. Many have turned worship into a business rather than a spiritual pursuit.
These false systems are driven by greed, power, and control, keeping people in spiritual bondage rather than leading them to freedom in Christ.

False Unity: The Disguise of Religious Deception
2 Corinthians 6:14 - "Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?"
Many in today’s religious circles preach false unity, urging believers to join hands with those who are not aligned with God’s truth. However, true unity must be founded on righteousness and obedience to God’s word.
False unity often comes in the form of ecumenical movements that blur the lines between truth and error, leading people away from the purity of faith and into compromise.

The Consequences of the Malicious Mentality
Galatians 6:8 - "For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting."
Those who follow the malicious mentality and reject God’s truth will eventually face spiritual death. Many of today’s religious leaders exploit people for personal gain, manipulating them with enticing words while leading them into deception and destruction.
The Bible makes it clear that those who refuse to obey God and instead follow their own selfish desires will not inherit the Kingdom of God.

Summary
The malicious mentality is rooted in pride, rebellion, and deception. It manifests in the pursuit of false inventions, religious systems that enslave rather than liberate, and a false unity that seeks to dilute the truth of God’s Word. The consequences are severe—those who embrace this mindset will ultimately face spiritual ruin.

Conclusion
God desires a relationship, not religion. He calls His people to reject the malicious mentality and instead embrace a life of obedience, faith, and genuine worship. We must discern the difference between true faith and man-made systems designed to control rather than uplift. Those who continue in deception will ultimately find themselves in eternal separation from God.
