VIOLATION, MUTILATION, AND ASSASSINATION: THE STRATEGY OF THE WICKED AND GOD’S VICTORY By: Major Frank Materu

Key Scripture: Isaiah 54:17

“No weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue which rises against you in judgment You shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is from Me,” Says the Lord.

INTRODUCTION

Throughout history, the forces of darkness have risen time and again against the righteous. The wicked have employed strategies of oppression, deception, and destruction in an effort to silence God’s people. However, as scripture assures us, no weapon formed against God’s chosen ones will prosper. The enemies of truth, driven by the spirits of deception and lawlessness, follow a pattern of violation, mutilation, and assassination in their attempt to eradicate righteousness from the earth. Yet, God’s sovereign power prevails, preserving His faithful remnant through every trial and attack.

The world is filled with those who seek to dominate through fear and manipulation, opposing the gospel and the righteous standards of God. They operate in deception, aiming to corrupt and distort the truth. Despite their efforts, the Lord stands as the ultimate protector of His people, ensuring that no scheme of the enemy will prevail against those who remain steadfast in Him.

This study will explore the threefold attack of the wicked—violation, mutilation, and assassination—while emphasizing the ultimate triumph that belongs to those who trust in the Lord.

VIOLATION: THE FIRST STRATEGY OF THE WICKED

Psalm 2:1-3

“Why do the nations rage, and the people plot a vain thing? The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the Lord and against His Anointed, saying, ‘Let us break Their bonds in pieces and cast away Their cords from us.’”

The wicked begin their attacks with violation—an attempt to undermine the foundations of truth and righteousness. They violate the dignity, integrity, and privacy of individuals who stand for God’s truth. Their tactics include persecution, unjust laws, and aggressive suppression of Christian values. They seek to weaken the church, destroy the family unit, and erase the moral boundaries established by God.

Despite their attempts, believers must remain steadfast, understanding that the battle is not merely physical but spiritual. God’s truth cannot be overthrown, and those who walk in righteousness are upheld by His mighty hand.

MUTILATION: ATTACKING THE CHARACTER OF THE RIGHTEOUS

John 15:18-19

“If the world hates you, you know that it hated Me before it hated you. If you were of the world, the world would love its own. Yet because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you.”

After violation comes mutilation. The wicked seek to destroy the reputation and influence of those who stand for God. Lies, slander, and false accusations become weapons in their arsenal. They spread misinformation, distort the truth, and manipulate public perception in an attempt to isolate and discredit God’s people.

Jesus Himself warned His followers that they would be hated by the world. The attacks on character and integrity should not discourage believers, but rather strengthen their resolve. The enemy may try to cut down the righteous, but God upholds His servants, and His truth will always prevail.

ASSASSINATION: THE FINAL ATTEMPT TO DESTROY THE RIGHTEOUS

Matthew 10:28

“And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. But rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.”

When violation and mutilation fail, the wicked resort to assassination. The ultimate goal of the enemy is to eliminate those who stand for truth, whether through physical persecution or spiritual oppression. Throughout history, countless men and women of faith have suffered martyrdom for their unwavering commitment to God.

However, even in death, the righteous are victorious. Jesus Christ overcame the grave, and His followers are promised eternal life. Assassination may silence a voice temporarily, but the message of truth continues to resound. The wicked will never be able to erase God’s presence from the earth.

SUMMARY

The strategies of the wicked are clear: they begin with violation, move to mutilation, and ultimately attempt assassination. However, their plans will never succeed against those who trust in the Lord. The righteous are called to stand firm, knowing that God is their protector and deliverer.

CONCLUSION

No matter how fierce the battle, the power of God remains greater than the schemes of the enemy. Violation, mutilation, and assassination are tactics of the wicked, but they do not determine the fate of God’s people. The Lord is sovereign, and His justice will prevail. Those who remain faithful to Him will witness His victory over every adversary.

FINAL WORD OF ENCOURAGEMENT

Romans 8:37

“Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.”

Be encouraged! No matter how fierce the battle, you are more than a conqueror through Christ. The enemy’s plans will fail, but God’s purposes will stand. Hold on to His promises and walk in the victory He has already secured for you.
