INTRODUCTION

The mercies of God are fresh and new every morning. As believers, we are not called to live in despair, anxiety, or spiritual destitution, but rather in the abundance of God’s mercy. Many times, people allow fear and uncertainty to rob them of the grace that is freely given by God. However, as demonstrated in the miracle of the loaves and fishes, God’s provision is never scarce. His mercies are overflowing and ever-present for those who look to Him with gratitude.

In times of personal distress and global turmoil, many fail to recognize the steadfast love and mercy of God. They yield to the enemy’s whispers of fear, hopelessness, and anxiety. But as children of God, we are called to fix our hope on Him and receive His mercies with a thankful heart.

This message is a reminder that God is always in control. He keeps His promises and reigns supreme over all the nations. No government, leader, or power can stand against His divine authority. Let us, therefore, learn to trust in Him completely, reject the deceitful ways of the world, and embrace the abundant life He offers.

THE EVER-PRESENT MERCIES OF GOD

Scripture: Psalm 103:17

"But the mercy of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting upon them that fear Him, and His righteousness unto children's children."

God’s mercy is not a one-time event, but a continuous outpouring of His love and grace. Every day, He renews His mercies upon His people, ensuring that we are never left desolate. The enemy seeks to blind us to this truth, pushing us towards despair. But those who walk in gratitude and faith will always experience God’s unfailing love.

THE DANGER OF FORGETTING GOD'S MERCIES

Scripture: Deuteronomy 8:11

"Beware that thou forget not the Lord thy God, in not keeping His commandments, and His judgments, and His statutes, which I command thee this day."

One of the greatest dangers believers face is spiritual forgetfulness. When we forget the mercies of God, we become vulnerable to fear, anxiety, and the enemy’s deception. Many have yielded to the lies of the enemy, allowing worry and hopelessness to take root in their hearts. However, God commands us to remember His faithfulness and trust in His unchanging nature.

GOD KEEPS HIS PROMISES

Scripture: Numbers 23:19

"God is not a man, that He should lie; neither the son of man, that He should repent: hath He said, and shall He not do it? Or hath He spoken, and shall He not make it good?"

Unlike men, who often make promises they cannot keep, God is faithful to His word. He has promised deliverance, restoration, and an outpouring of His Spirit upon His people. Those who trust in Him will never be put to shame, for He is the same yesterday, today, and forever.

THE DECEPTION OF WORLDLY GOVERNMENTS

Scripture: Psalm 2:2-4

"The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the Lord, and against His anointed... He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision."

Many governments and leaders exalt themselves above God, deceiving the people into believing they hold the answers to life’s problems. However, their efforts are in vain. True peace and security come only from God. Those who place their hope in human systems will ultimately be disappointed, but those who trust in the Lord will experience His divine provision and protection.

THE CONSEQUENCES OF PRIDE AND SELF-IDOLATRY

Scripture: Proverbs 16:18

"Pride goeth before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall."

Pride has led many away from God, causing them to become spiritually estranged from Him. In their arrogance, they believe they can govern themselves without divine guidance. However, history has shown that every nation and individual who turns away from God eventually faces ruin. We must humble ourselves before the Lord, recognizing that He alone is the source of life and peace.

SALVATION PRAYER

If you have not yet given your life to Christ, now is the time to accept His mercy and grace. Pray this prayer with sincerity:

Heavenly Father, I come before You, acknowledging that I am a sinner in need of Your mercy. I believe that Jesus Christ is Your Son, that He died for my sins, and that He rose again. I repent of my sins and ask You to come into my heart. Be my Lord and Savior. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit and lead me in Your ways. Thank You for Your love and for giving me eternal life. In Jesus' name, Amen.
