THE WRATH OF GOD AGAINST THE REPROBATE By: Major Frank Materu

Key Scripture: Romans 1:28-32

INTRODUCTION

The righteous nature of God demands that sin and rebellion be judged. Throughout history, we see God extending mercy to those who repent, but executing justice upon those who harden their hearts against Him. The passage we are examining today highlights the consequences of a reprobate mind—those who willfully reject God and engage in abominable practices. Such individuals are given over to severe judgment, manifesting even in their physical bodies. This teaching aims to expose the reality of divine wrath and warn against the dangers of living contrary to God's will.

THE CONSEQUENCES OF A REPROBATE MIND

Romans 1:28 - "And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient."

A reprobate mind is the state of total moral corruption where an individual is incapable of discerning right from wrong. Those who consistently rebel against God’s truth are eventually abandoned to their own wickedness. This results in perverse imaginations and depraved behaviors that dishonor both their bodies and their souls. When men refuse to acknowledge God, they fall into deeper deception, becoming agents of darkness.

PLAGUES UPON THE WICKED: A PHYSICAL MANIFESTATION OF JUDGMENT

Revelation 16:2 - "And the first went, and poured out his vial upon the earth; and there fell a noisome and grievous sore upon the men which had the mark of the beast, and upon them which worshipped his image."

The physical consequences of rebellion against God are clearly illustrated in Scripture. When people persist in wickedness, their very bodies bear witness to their sin through incurable plagues and diseases. The affliction of festering sores serves as both a punishment and a warning to those who might be tempted to follow the same path. The stench of their rotting flesh represents the moral decay that had already consumed their souls.

GOD’S JUSTICE DEMANDS SEPARATION FROM THE UNCLEAN

2 Corinthians 6:17 - "Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you."

God commands His people to remain separate from those who indulge in abominations. Just as Israel was instructed not to mingle with the pagan nations that practiced idolatry and immorality, believers today must be vigilant in maintaining holiness. Those who advocate for tolerance towards evil will find themselves infected by the very corruption they defend. The consequences of aligning with the wicked are dire, leading to both spiritual and physical destruction.

THE DECEPTION OF A NEW WORLD ORDER: AGENDA OF DEATH

Isaiah 5:20 - "Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!"

There is a growing movement that seeks to redefine morality and reject God’s righteous standards. The so-called "New World Order" is an agenda of confusion and deception, leading people further into lawlessness. Those who promote such ideologies are driven by demonic forces, bringing them to a state of complete insanity. In their quest for liberation from divine authority, they ultimately find themselves enslaved to darkness.

THE FATE OF LEADERS WHO PROMOTE WICKEDNESS

Psalm 9:17 - "The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God."

Leaders who endorse and promote wickedness will not escape God’s judgment. It does not matter how powerful or wealthy they are; they will be brought down by the very evil they have propagated. Those who participate in or defend abominable acts will share in the same condemnation. No amount of political influence or wealth can protect them from the eternal judgment of God.

SUMMARY

The judgment of God is evident against those who reject Him and embrace perversion. A reprobate mind leads to destruction, and the physical afflictions upon the wicked serve as a clear warning. Believers must remain separate from corruption and uphold God’s righteousness in an increasingly depraved world. The deception of the New World Order will only lead to suffering, and those who promote wickedness will ultimately face God’s wrath.

CONCLUSION

God’s justice is perfect, and His wrath is certain against those who refuse to repent. The wicked will experience suffering in this life and eternal torment in the next. As believers, we must be vigilant, standing firm in holiness and rejecting all forms of wickedness. The time for compromise is over—God is calling His people to purity and unwavering obedience.

FINAL WORD OF ENCOURAGEMENT

Psalm 37:28 - "For the Lord loveth judgment, and forsaketh not his saints; they are preserved forever: but the seed of the wicked shall be cut off."

God is faithful to His people. Even in the midst of increasing wickedness, He will preserve those who remain true to Him. Be encouraged, for your labor in righteousness is not in vain. Keep your faith strong, and do not waver in the face of opposition. The Lord is with you always.
