THE CALL TO RIGHTEOUSNESS IN A TIME OF DECEPTION By: Major Frank Materu

INTRODUCTION
In these perilous times, many have abandoned the path of righteousness in favor of worldly indulgences and wickedness. The current state of affairs has led many, even those who claim to belong to God, to forsake godly principles. They have surrendered to deception, manipulated by demonic and despotic leaders who shape-shift in their motives and actions. The spirit of delusion and confusion has overtaken the nations, leading people into destruction. However, God is calling His people to awaken and walk in righteousness. He desires His children to be warriors for truth, resisting the schemes of the enemy and standing firm in faith.

THE DESTRUCTIVE PATH OF WICKEDNESS
"There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death." (Proverbs 14:12)
When people embrace wickedness, they set themselves on a downward spiral of moral and spiritual decay. The temporary pleasures of sin blind them to the devastating consequences that await them. Many are deceived into thinking that their actions are justified, blaming others for the misfortunes that result from their rebellion against God. But the truth remains—those who choose sin choose death. The fruits of wickedness are misery, destruction, and separation from God.

THE DANGER OF SHALLOW WORSHIP
"This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me." (Matthew 15:8)
One of the greatest deceptions in these times is the idea that one can live in sin while still being acceptable to God. Many claim to love and worship God while simultaneously indulging in sinful practices. However, God is not deceived by false worship. Those who prioritize their fleshly desires over His commandments are not in right standing with Him. True worship requires purity of heart and obedience to His Word.

THE RISE OF THE WARRIORS FOR RIGHTEOUSNESS
"And they that shall be of thee shall build the old waste places: thou shalt raise up the foundations of many generations; and thou shalt be called, The repairer of the breach, The restorer of paths to dwell in." (Isaiah 58:12)
Despite the prevailing wickedness, God is raising up a remnant—Warriors for Righteousness. These are individuals who refuse to conform to the sinful patterns of the world. They are dedicated to upholding godliness and resisting the deception of the enemy. These warriors are not driven by worldly ambitions but by a desire to see God’s kingdom established. They are not enticed by carnal wars or political agendas but are engaged in spiritual warfare through prayer, obedience, and righteousness.

THE DECEPTION OF POLITICAL LEADERS
"For they have healed the hurt of the daughter of my people slightly, saying, Peace, peace; when there is no peace." (Jeremiah 6:14)
Many political leaders today are under the influence of demonic forces, pushing agendas that promote destruction rather than peace. Their motives are not based on righteousness but on greed, power, and self-exaltation. They manipulate the masses, luring the youth into senseless battles while hiding their true intentions. However, God is calling His people to discern the lies and to resist being drawn into worldly conflicts. The real battle is spiritual, and the true victory comes through faith and righteousness.

THE POWER OF GOD’S INTERVENTION
"If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land." (2 Chronicles 7:14)
God has not abandoned His people. Those who earnestly seek Him will find protection, provision, and guidance. He is calling for a people who will stand in the gap, interceding for nations and rejecting the spirit of compromise. As prayers rise to heaven, God’s power will move against the forces of darkness, bringing deliverance and restoration.

SUMMARY
The times we live in are filled with deception, corruption, and wickedness. Many have forsaken righteousness and are under the influence of demonic deception. However, God is raising up a remnant of believers—Warriors for Righteousness—who will stand against the tide of sin. They will not be lured by worldly pleasures or political agendas but will fight the spiritual battle through faith and obedience.

CONCLUSION
God is calling His people to wake up and recognize the schemes of the enemy. We are not to be swept away by the delusions of this age but to stand firm in truth. It is only through obedience to God that we can escape the destruction that comes with sin. Now is the time to choose righteousness and reject the darkness that seeks to overtake the world.

No matter how dark the world may seem, God’s light still shines. He is calling His people to rise and take a stand. Be bold, be strong, and remain faithful. The battle belongs to the Lord, and victory is assured for those who trust in Him. Keep pressing forward in faith, for He is with you always.

PRAYER OF SALVATION
Lord Jesus, I come before You, acknowledging that I am a sinner in need of Your grace. I believe that You died for my sins and rose again for my salvation. I surrender my life to You and ask You to cleanse me from all unrighteousness. Come into my heart and be my Lord and Savior. Guide me in Your ways and fill me with Your Spirit.
