Introduction
Many people claim to follow God, but few truly walk in His ways. Some have been called, yet they remain stagnant, frozen in a state of rebellion, fear, and self-deception. Rather than pressing forward in their spiritual journey, they remain stuck in past glories, past failures, or past sins. The Lord desires His people to move forward, to grow, and to be transformed by His Spirit. However, many refuse to yield to His process and become frozen in time, unable to progress in faith and obedience.
This teaching will explore the difference between being chosen by God and being frozen in spiritual stagnation. We will examine the dangers of a frozen spiritual state and how we can ensure that we remain in the company of the chosen.

The Danger of Spiritual Stagnation
Hebrews 5:12 - "For though by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you again the first principles of the oracles of God; and you have come to need milk and not solid food."
Many believers stop growing because they refuse to seek deeper revelation and understanding of God’s Word. Instead of moving forward, they become comfortable in their current state, unwilling to embrace the challenges and transformations that come with spiritual growth.

The Frozen Mindset: A Prison of Carnality
Romans 8:6 - "For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace."
A frozen mindset is one that is enslaved by the flesh. People who are frozen in carnality prioritize their own desires over God’s will. They may attend church, but their hearts are far from God. They become bound by worldly concerns, such as money, status, or past accomplishments, rather than seeking the righteousness of God.

Refusing the Call of God
Luke 9:62 - "But Jesus said to him, 'No one, having put his hand to the plow, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.'"
Some people begin their journey with God but turn back due to fear, distractions, or disobedience. These individuals are frozen in their past instead of pressing forward into their divine calling. Their refusal to obey God results in spiritual stagnation, making them ineffective in His Kingdom.

The Characteristics of the Chosen
John 15:16 - "You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain."
Those who are chosen by God exhibit certain characteristics:
• Obedience to God’s Word – They do not compromise with sin.
• A Life of Faith and Growth – They continually seek to grow in their relationship with God.
• Commitment to Holiness – They strive to live according to God’s standards.
• Perseverance in Trials – They do not give up when faced with difficulties.

Breaking Free from the Frozen State
Philippians 3:13-14 - "Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus."
To move from being frozen to being chosen, one must:
• Repent of spiritual stagnation and seek God earnestly.
• Refuse to live in the past and embrace the new work that God is doing.
• Be led by the Holy Spirit and be open to transformation.
• Commit to obedience and trust in God’s plan.

Summary
Many people are called, but only a few respond wholeheartedly to God’s call. Those who remain frozen in their past, in carnality, or in disobedience will not fulfill their divine purpose. However, those who are willing to move forward, obey, and be transformed by God will be chosen for greater works in His Kingdom.

Salvation Prayer
If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus Christ, now is the time. Pray this prayer with sincerity:
Lord Jesus, I come before You today, acknowledging that I am a sinner in need of Your grace. I believe that You died for my sins and rose again so that I may have eternal life. Today, I repent of my sins and ask You to come into my heart. Be my Lord and Savior. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit and help me to live a life that is pleasing to You. Thank You for saving me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
