THE TRUTH OF GOD VS. IMAGINARY IMAGES By: Major Frank Materu
Key Scripture: Isaiah 45:5-6
"I am the Lord, and there is none else, there is no God beside me: I girded thee, though thou hast not known me: That they may know from the rising of the sun, and from the west, that there is none beside me. I am the Lord, and there is none else."

INTRODUCTION
From the beginning of time, humanity has struggled with understanding the true nature of God. Many have fallen into the trap of creating false images and misconceptions of who He is. Throughout history, cultures and nations have formed their own gods, often inspired by demonic spirits, leading people into deception and destruction.
The Bible warns us against idolatry and falsehoods about God’s nature. When people abandon the conscience that God instilled in them, they fall into moral decay and engage in acts that are completely against His divine will. The consequences of such disobedience have led to the downfall of civilizations and societies that chose to forsake the true God.
This study seeks to examine the reality of God's truth versus the imaginary images created by humanity. We will explore the consequences of these deceptions, the dangers of pride and rebellion, and the importance of adhering to God's commandments as revealed through His Word.

THE DANGER OF IMAGINARY IMAGES OF GOD
Hosea 4:6 "My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children."
Many people have created gods in their own image, seeking to redefine God according to their desires and imaginations. The worship of false gods and the spread of misguided doctrines have led people into spiritual blindness. This deviation results in a separation from the one true God, leading to destruction.
When people listen to demonic influences instead of the Holy Spirit, they engage in abominable practices. The rejection of God's true nature results in moral and spiritual corruption, bringing forth divine judgment upon those who refuse to repent.

PRIDE AND REBELLION: THE ROOT OF IDOLATRY
Proverbs 16:18 "Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall."
Pride has always been at the root of rebellion against God. Lucifer himself fell from heaven because of pride, and since then, he has deceived many into believing that they can redefine or replace God.
Humanity's continuous attempt to manipulate God's natural order, including altering gender identities and defying His commandments, is a sign of deep rebellion. Such acts are not only against divine law but are also demonically inspired, leading to destruction.
God’s wrath has been poured out in history upon civilizations that indulged in idolatry, pride, and rebellion. Those who elevate themselves above God's authority will face His judgment.

THE LOVE OF MONEY: A GREAT DECEPTION
1 Timothy 6:10 "For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows."
In modern times, many false teachers promote wealth and materialism as a sign of God’s favor. However, these teachings are contrary to the truth of God’s Word. Jesus warned against storing treasures on earth, yet many are consumed by the pursuit of riches at the cost of their souls.
There are countless followers who support greedy leaders, believing they will gain wealth and success. However, the pursuit of worldly riches often leads people away from God. True prosperity is found in obedience to God, not in material wealth.

THE CONSEQUENCES OF DISOBEDIENCE
Deuteronomy 28:15 "But it shall come to pass, if thou wilt not hearken unto the voice of the Lord thy God, to observe to do all his commandments and his statutes which I command thee this day; that all these curses shall come upon thee, and overtake thee."
Throughout history, God has shown His displeasure with those who abandon His ways. The Bible is filled with examples of individuals and nations that faced His wrath due to their rebellion. When people reject God’s truth and follow their own imaginations, they bring upon themselves destruction.
However, God is merciful and always calls His people to repentance. Those who turn away from their wicked ways and seek Him will find forgiveness and restoration.

SALVATION PRAYER
If you have not yet received Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, pray this prayer:
Heavenly Father, I come before You in humility, acknowledging that I am a sinner in need of Your grace. I believe that Jesus Christ died for my sins and rose again for my salvation. I confess my sins and ask for Your forgiveness. Lord Jesus, come into my heart and be my Savior and Lord. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit and lead me in Your ways. I surrender my life to You and choose to follow You all the days of my life. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
