SEPARATING FROM DEFILED CHURCHES By Major. Frank Materu
"Then I heard another voice from heaven say: 'Come out of her, my people, so that you will not share in her sins, so that you will not receive any of her plagues. For her sins are piled up to heaven, and God has remembered her crimes.’”
(Revelation 18:4-5)
The Deception of Believing You Are Right:
There are many who think they are on the right path, but they have been deceived.
They continue in their corruption, unholiness, and moral decay, believing that God is pleased with them.
But God is not pleased!
A time is coming when God will bring His judgment, and He will separate the clean from the unclean.
A Call to Total Separation:
Many have heard God’s call to separate themselves from sin and defilement, yet they fail to completely step away.
They leave the inner circle of sin but stand at the door, still influenced by what they have left behind.
Imagine a man leaving a bar filled with immorality and drunkenness, but instead of walking away completely, he stands outside the door, watching and listening to the revelry within.
Can such a man truly purify himself? No.
“Therefore, come out from them and be separate,” says the Lord.
“Touch no unclean thing, and I will receive you.” (2 Corinthians 6:17)
God’s call demands total separation from sin and defilement, not partial distance.
It is not enough to step away and still gaze back at the corruption.
Defiled Churches and Their Leaders:
Churches that claim to represent God but are filled with greed, selfish ambition, and worldly desires are an abomination to Him.
These churches:
- Preach false promises to extract wealth from the gullible.
- Build their own kingdoms of pride and power rather than advancing the Kingdom of God.
- Have turned away from truth, choosing deception to maintain their false authority.
“Do not be yoked together with unbelievers. For what do righteousness and wickedness have in common? Or what fellowship can light have with darkness?” (2 Corinthians 6:14)
True servants of God, who preach His Word without compromise, are often rejected by the majority.
Instead, many prefer:
- False teachers who flatter and deceive.
- Empty promises that feed their worldly desires.
But God will separate the true from the false.
The Truth Hurts but Frees:
Many people reject the truth because it exposes their sins.
They prefer lies and fantasies over the reality of God’s Word.
The truth:
- Divides between good and evil.
- Exposes corruption and deceit.
- Demands accountability.
“For the Word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.”
(Hebrews 4:12)
Those who reject the truth reject God Himself.
Even if they claim to belong to Him, their actions reveal otherwise.
Final Call: Come Out Completely.
God’s people are called to be holy and separate from the corruption around them.
“For we are the temple of the living God. As God has said:
‘I will live with them and walk among them, and I will be their God, and they will be my people.’”(2 Corinthians 6:16)
We cannot mix righteousness with sin or light with darkness.
Those who belong to God must leave behind all forms of defilement and walk in His truth.
Conclusion:
God is calling His people to total separation from sin and defiled churches.
Standing at the door or lingering near corruption will not make you clean.
Only by fully stepping away and walking in the truth can you be accepted by God.
Are you ready to leave the world’s defilement and follow the living God?
